Despite the fact that Member States may take unilateral action to suspend the marketing authorization of a medicinal product, the legislation requires a coordinated European approach to these cases, says EMA.
Pending the outcome of the review, women who are currently taking Diane 35 or one of the generic advised not to stop taking the drug. 

In Greece the product is Gynofen 35 with the same composition. Recommended for acne and hirsutism. Although it has no contraceptive effect is to be taken for such purpose underlines the EOF.
